Vinegar Icing

Recipes Ingredients:

1 c Brown sugar
2 Egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 c White sugar
1 ts Vanilla
2/3 c Water
2 tb Vinegar
1/8 ts Cream of tartar

Recipe Instructions:

Combine all ingredients except flavoring and eggs. Boil to soft ball stage (236 F). Pour slowly, beating constantly, onto Egg whites. Add flavoring. Continue beating until thick and creamy. Priscilla Gross, Fountainville, PA.
