Bran Corn-Meal Sticks

Recipes Ingredients:

2 tb Shortening
3/4 c Prepared bran
2 tb Sugar
1 c Flour
1 Egg
1 ts Salt
1 c Milk
3 ts Baking powder
1/2 c Corn-meal

Recipe Instructions:

Cream shortening. Add Sugar and mix well. Add well-beaten egg, milk, bran, and corn-meal. Sift flour, measure, and sift with Baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture, stirring only until well blended. Pour into well-oiled pans. Bake in moderate Oven (400ø F) 20 minutes. 12 bran sticks. Betty Parkinson, Michigan Center, MI.
