Whole Wheat Cakes

Recipes Ingredients:

1 1/3 c Whole wheat flour
1 Egg, well beaten
3 ts Baking powder
1 c Milk
3/4 ts Salt
3 tb Melted shortening
3 tb Sugar

Recipe Instructions:

Combine egg, shortening, and milk. Blend sugar, salt, and Baking powder with whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth. Bake on Hot griddle. 8 servings. The Household Searchlight - 1941
