Hickory Nut Drop Cookies

Recipes Ingredients:

2 c Sugar
4 c Flour
1 c Shortening; beat well
1 ts Baking soda
2 ea Eggs
1 ts Baking powder
1 c Milk; sour
1 c Nuts; chopped
Or 1
c Raisins; chopped
1 c Buttermilk

Recipe Instructions:

Sift soda and Baking powder in with flour. Note: Combine remaining ingredients, mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto Cookie sheet. Bake in moderate 375 F. oven. Source: Margaret Krueger, Hiram Grange, Portage County, OH
